Roberto Mancini wants to bring the forward back to Italy and Marc Wilmots tells Goal why Kevin De Bruyne decided to leave Chelsea for Wolfsburg

Jovetic ready to ditch Man City for Inter

JOVETIC OPEN TO INTER MOVE

Stevan Jovetic is ready to leave Manchester City and could link up with Roberto Mancini at InterGoalunderstands.

Jovetic remains out of favour at the Premier League champions, who signed striker Wilfried Bony in January, and is keen to play regular first-team football.

Mancini tried to sign Jovetic while the Montenegrin was at Fiorentina prior to his sacking at the Etihad Stadium and has retained an interest in the forward.

Jovetic is open to the idea of returning to Italy with Inter, who are prepared to offer €17 million to sign the 25-year-old.

But Goal understands that City want closer to €25m for the former Fiorentina man, who remains a target for Serie A champions Juventus.

WILMOTS TOLD DE BRUYNE: LEAVE CHELSEA

Kevin De Bruyne has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga this season, helping Wolfsburg to climb to second in the Bundesliga and scoring twice against Inter as his side stake a claim for the Europa League title.

De Bruyne, still just 23, has gone from strength to strength since returning to Germany in January 2014 after leaving Chelsea.

The Belgian made just nine appearances in two years for the Blues, spending time on loan with former club Genk and Werder Bremen.

Facing an uncertain future, having failed to cement a place in Jose Mourinho's side, De Bruyne was advised by Belgium head coach Marc Wilmots to return to the Bundesliga.

"I have worked with Kevin since 2012," Wilmots told Goal. "We played international games and he was a very important player for us.

"At this time he was still loaned to Werder Bremen. At Chelsea he wasn't a starter and had big competition for his place. Still Kevin was very young, it was a difficult time for him.

"In the national team he showed confidence so he was a starter for me. We talked about his situation and I said: 'Kevin, go back to the Bundesliga.'

"For him the great fortune is Wolfsburg's manager, Klaus Allofs, who knows him from their time together at Werder Bremen and brought him back to Germany. How he is currently playing in Wolfsburg is outstanding, but that does not surprise me, I know what the boy can do."
