The governorship candidate of the Kano State All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, on Tuesday expressed confidence that the party would record victory in Saturday’s polls, like it did at the just concluded Presidential elections
Addressing journalists during an interactive session in Kano on Tuesday, Ganduje emphasised that the victory recorded by the APC in the last Presidential poll has now filled the people with hope. Ganduje expressed optimism that the APC would secure another resounding victory in view of what he described as the many successes recorded by the party at both the Senate and House of Representatives elections.
He said he would complete all the projects started by his would-be predecessor, as well as initiate new ones, so as to pilot the state to another of economic and political development if he is eventually sworn in as the governor.
Apart from focusing on the provision of critical infrastructure, Ganduje also promised to focus on those areas that will promote human development, as well as to address power challenges, which is very critical toward the promotion of socio-economic development of the state.
Also, promised to complete the electricity project started by the Kwankwaso-led administration, just as he also promised to focus on alternative sources of energy, including the involvement of private participation in power generation.
