According to Huffington Post, the competition awards the best bum a total of R242 000.About her win, said Carvalho: "I did not expect to win, but of course I wanted to win. I was well prepared. I am very honoured to receive this title because it represents all Brazilian women."For the first time, the competition saw a plus sized model, a 39-year old woman and twins enter.Miss Bumbum 2013 Dai Macedo said: "It's a lot of work, a lot of devotion. I denied myself a lot of things. No nightclubs. No sweets. I went to the gym Saturdays and Sundays."
