Bayelsa guber: Lokpobiri Psyche PDP members

Pdp-Apc… Sylva denies rigging plan
From Femi Folaranmi, Yenagoa
Director General of the Sylva/Igiri Campaign Organisation and minister designate, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has commenced moves to woo members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the December 5 governorship election in the state.
This is even as the governorship candidate of the APC, Timipre Sylva presented Chief Wilberforce Igiri from Foroupa, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State as his running mate.
Party faithful witnessed Igiri’s presentation, which was held amidst tight security at the campaign office.
Sylva brushed aside claims of APC rigging the election, noting that though Bayelsans were warming up to the party, the party would campaign vigorously to win the election.
Expressing confidence in the ability of the campaign committee, Lokpobiri and other directors of the campaign team to deliver on their mandate, he said the party would not be distracted in its focus to sweep away the PDP from the state.
Lokpobiri said they would visit every ward to preach the change gospel of APC to Bayelsans and bring victory to the party.
“We will ensure that APC wins 99 percent of the votes so that on February 14, 2016 Sylva and Igiri will be sworn-in as governor and deputy governor. We will campaign from community to community, ward-to-ward and local government to local government. From today, there will be activities at the campaign secretariat everyday”
Investigations revealed that Lokpobiri had commenced work and was already wooing PDP member to key into APC campaign train. Among those believed to have been reached was a key member of the PDP Unity Group, Mr. Fitzgerald Olorogun.
Daily Sun investigation revealed that former deputy governor Peremobowei Ebebi has struck a deal with Sylva to back the APC during the governorship election in the state.
