The aged mother of an international businessman cum politician, Yusha’u Kebbe, who was kidnapped from Kebbe Local government area of the state, has regained her freedom.
Making the disclosure yesterday while addressing newsmen, her son, Yusha’u Kebbe said her abductors were Fulanis.
Though, Kebbe refused to disclose the ransom paid to secure his mothers release, he however stated that money was paid before she regained her freedom.
“I felt duty bound to come and thank the Journalists for disseminating the information. Which led to several interventions. I am deeply touched by the concern shown and various efforts people exhibited leading to her safe release”” Said her son, Yusha’u Kebbe
While disclosing that his mothers abductors said they were invited for the operation by some influential people from Kebbe Local Government on grounds that, he stole public fund as a House of Representative Member for 8 Years which explains why all my family are in Dubai and that they are going to share the ransom with those people.
“”But surprisingly, I have never worked for any government nor held any political appointment. Therefore, how on earth would I have access to public fund as they alleged?. Agreed, I have contested elective positions thrice and I loss all.
“She was collected from around Daki Tokwes, Gidan Zaima in Bokwei Local Government of Zamfara state at about 2am yesterday.
“I also want to thank her abductors because they did not touch her. Though, she was kept in a place that had no water for the whole 7 days”
The kidnapped 75 years old woman, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed is popularly know as Hajiya Yar’abi amongst the locals was said to hypertensive but her abductors demanded that they send her drugs which they gave her.
