Prof. Daramola: "We don't doubt his intellectual capacity"- IWYC tells Senate

A PRESS TEXT RELEASED BY IKALE WORLD YOUTH CONGRESS (IWYC) ON THE NOMINATION OF PROFESSOR CLAUDIUS OMOLEYE DARAMOLA AS ONDO STATE REPRESENTATIVE IN FEDERAL CABINET The fact remains that we are apolitical, yet we received with great joy the news of the nomination of an Ikale indigent, Professor Claudius Omoleye Daramola as the Ondo State representative on the Federal Executive Council. This is an attestation to his vast wealth of experience as an astute academic, a grassroots politician and a versed administrator whose hatred for corruption is unmatched and correspond with the change mantra of the President Muhammadu Buhari. His nomination has also put paid to the fact that Ondo State is the technocrats enclave of the nation. We appreciate the President for deeming it worthy to nominate an Ikale indigent for the exalted office. We also want to use this medium to urge the Ondo State Caucus in the Red Chamber to rally round Prof. Daramola and ensure he has a successful screening. We don't doubt his intellectual capacity as an Ikale man and as a Professor in the renowned University of Ilorin, so we urge the senate to "grill" him. We vouch he won't disappoint us. However, our attention has been drawn to a conspiracy by some persons in the All Progressive Congress who are hell bent on pilling untold pressure on the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to withdraw the nomination of Prof. Daramola on the alter of ethnic egocentrism. May it be known to all that Prof. Daramola has all the necessary requirements to be made a minister in this country. He is a Professor of Education, an indigene of Ondo State and a card carrying member of the APC. If there is anything that should be used against him, it should be tendered and not his birthplace and his local government of origin! Or are we being made to understand that the APC as a party in Ondo State is restricted to a district or zone? Having once contested as the party's chairman in the state, he is worthy. Ikale Youths are watching with keen interest the moves made by all as we are anxious to reciprocate all "kindly" gestures when the time comes. Congratulations once again Sir.
