RMAFC Acquires Software for Revenue Monitoring, Disbursements

Determined to ensuring quicker and improved revenue monitoring and allocation system, Office Machines Nigeria Limited has successfully secured and deployed a highly scalable web based application to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RFMAC).

The application known as RAFMIS will assist the commission to effectively monitor the revenue accruals to and disbursement from the federation accounts to the three tiers of government- federal, state and local council.

Following the successful deployment, RMAFC entered into an agreement with Office Machines Nigeria Limited to make available the information technology tool of RAFMIS and also conduct a train the trainer for a mix of technical and super users of the Commission in Abuja.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Office Machines, Okey Ikpe disclosed that “the training is to develop and enhance the skills of RMAFC staff thereby improving major processes in determining Revenue Allocation Formula, monitor revenue remittance and allocation to the federal, states and local governments form its manual operation to automated process with the use of the new application.”

According to him, the training would help build a team of what is referred to as champs or super users to ensure a quick and smooth commission – wide adoption of the application.

Ikpe added: “The deployment will ultimately ease and enable users to do more in less time without  compromising high level of accuracy and predictability . It will help meet all stakeholders reporting requirements including development agencies, state governments, local government and citizens’’

He explained that in line with Section 32 (a) part 1 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which empowers RMAFC to monitor revenue accruals and disbursements, the staff of the organisation should maximise the use of the application and the tools to deliver quality service to various stakeholders.
With the deployment, the application can now be accessed and used by authorised users anytime anywhere to carry out the stipulated functions of the various offices, he added.
