Obanikoro's thugs assaulted Sen. Oluremi Tinubu

The controversial screening and clearing of Musiliu Obanikoro by the PDP wing of the Senate took an ugly turn when minutes after the Senate session, an aide of Obanikoro charged at Senator Oluremi Tinubu as the Senators filed out.

The bulky aide to Obanikoro pointed at Senator Tinubu as if to shake her. Instead he challenged her for being vehemently opposed to Obanikoro’s Ministerial clearance earlier.

He continued to raise his voice in anger, while Senator Tinubu kept her calm and stood her ground. Suddenly, he attempted to charge at her to attack her but for the timely intervention of a few Senators who cautioned Obanikoro’s aide who exhibited traits of political thuggery. Annoyed by the event, Senator Babafemi Ojudu twitted his condemnation of such act of thuggery Obanikoro’s aide demonstrated.

Senator Tinubu was outspoken on the floor against the dishonorable clearance of Obanikoro. She walked out with other APC Senators in protest.
