Chiellini: Real Madrid clash my most prestigious for Juve

The defender thinks the upcoming Champions League last-four second leg against the Blancos is more important than anything else in his career with the club

Giorgio Chiellini thinks Wednesday's Champions League semi-final decider at Real Madrid is the most prestigious game of his Juventus career so far.

The Scudetto holders have a 2-1 advantage going into the second leg, thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez, and have been boosted by the return from injury of Paul Pogba ahead of the Santiago Bernabeu clash.

Chiellini is excited to be potentially 90 minutes away from a Champions League final, though he is aware that the European champions are no rookies when it comes to high-pressure matches.

"We can't wait for Wednesday evening to come," the centre-back told Sky Sport. "This is the most prestigious and important game I'll be playing in since I joined the club.

"I've been here for a decade and 12 years have gone past since we last reached a Champions League semi-final.

"The entire stadium will be right behind Madrid and we'll have to try and put them under pressure. They are, however, experienced internationals who certainly won't be intimidated by the odd whistle by their own fans.

"I've played at the Bernabeu twice and we hope it doesn't end like last season, when we lost and I was sent off, but instead like the first game, when we won thanks to Alessandro Del Piero's double."

Juve, who have already claimed the Serie A title and reached the Coppa Italia final, are chasing their first-ever treble this season.
