The UN’s World Food Program (WFP)
and Agriculture and Food Organization (FAO) celebrates World Food Day today, October 16.
The goal of the organizations is to fight world hunger.
Mr. Bolajoko fadipe, Chief Executive
Officer of Food clique Nigeria, a non-governmental organization committed to
end hunger with a specific time frame as political leaders, NGOs, Profit making
organizations and Individuals to join hands in achieving a world without
hunger.
In the 2015 report on food insecurity, the WFP says 795 million people suffer from hunger today.
It is fewer than 10 years ago. But U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon said the goal is
to end hunger by 2030.
” There is a lot of talk now about
metal detectors and gun control. Both are good things. But they are no more a
solution than forks and spoons are a solution to world hunger.”

Mr. Fadipe and his team which Ms. Lola Oguntade happens to
be one of the team joins the world to celebrates ’World Food Day’ with people
living in slum of Lagos. The organization visited three communities which
includes; Oko baba, Makoko and Surah in Lagos State, Nigeria. Below shows the
