Jose Mourinho has set Chelsea a 91 point target to win the Premier League this season, meaning they will need 31 points from their remaining 12 fixtures – 10 wins and a draw.
Chelsea currently hold a five-point advantage over Manchester City at the top of the table but could extend that to eight points should they win their game in hand.
However, Mourinho is not giving his side room to make the mistakes that City have made this season -for example losing 2-1 to Liverpool on Sunday – and is demanding they relentlessly keep their charge going in order to win more silverware.
He said: “When our direct opponents lose points, it’s good for us.
“We have five points advantage, which in this competition is not a lot.
“Mathematics plays a role in all of this – 12 matches to go, 36 points to play, 36 minus five, we need 31 points.”
